About Inner Light
A calmer way in — for families, children, and SEN communities
Inner Light C.I.C exists to create safe, inclusive spaces where children and families can slow down, settle, and reconnect.
We offer trauma-informed yoga and nervous-system regulation sessions designed especially for families navigating SEN, sensory sensitivities, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Our work is grounded in care, dignity, and real life — not performance or pressure.
Why Inner Light exists
Many families are offered support only once things reach crisis point. Inner Light was created to work earlier, gently, and accessibly — supporting regulation, connection, and emotional safety before stress becomes entrenched.
We believe calm is not a luxury.
It’s a foundation.
Our approach
Inner Light sessions are:
Trauma-informed — prioritising safety, consent, and choice
SEN-inclusive — designed with neurodivergent children and families in mind
Child-led — participation looks different for every child, and all of it is valid
Practical — simple tools families can carry into everyday life
There is no expectation to sit still, perform, explain, or apologise. Children are free to move, rest, observe, or opt out — and parents are supported to do the same.
Who we support
Our work is especially supportive for:
SEN children and their parents or carers
Families navigating autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety, or emotional regulation challenges
Parents seeking calm connection rather than structured activities
Schools, community groups, and organisations looking to support family wellbeing
Sessions typically support children aged 5–15, depending on the programme.
Our values
Everything we offer is guided by a clear set of values:
Safety
Emotional and physical safety come first, always.
Inclusion
Spaces are designed to welcome difference, not manage it away.
Integrity
We work within our scope, communicate clearly, and centre the needs of families.
Dignity
Families are met with respect — not judgement, advice-giving, or fixing.
Community-rooted work
Inner Light C.I.C is proud to work within the local community in Harrow, London, offering a mix of community-funded, free, and low-cost sessions wherever possible.
We collaborate with schools, community organisations, and partners who share our commitment to early support, accessibility, and long-term wellbeing.
Not therapy — but deeply supportive
Inner Light sessions are not clinical or therapeutic services.
They are supportive wellbeing sessions rooted in trauma-informed yoga and nervous-system education.
Many families tell us the impact is felt far beyond the mat — in calmer transitions, improved connection, and greater confidence at home and school.
Looking ahead
Inner Light is committed to growing thoughtfully — expanding access, deepening partnerships, and continuing to serve families with care, steadiness, and integrity.
We believe meaningful change happens not through urgency, but through consistency and trust.
If you’re a parent, carer, educator, or organisation curious about working with Inner Light, we’d love to hear from you.
